Viv has worked in law since 1981 and joined the firm in 1986, taking advantage of opportunities within the firm to gain her legal executive certificate. Viv is one of the most experienced members of staff, specialising in Commercial Conveyancing and Subdivisions. She loves the friendly, team-orientated environment at Gascoigne Wicks; a kind of family environment that comes with working in one of the nation’s smaller centres.

Viv enjoys spending her free time with family, as well as gardening, reading and knitting She is an avid dancer and has won placings in multiple dance competitions and also achieved a medal alongside her husband, Peter in ballroom and Latin dancing. Viv has also spent a number of years with Blenheim’s Musical Theatre on and back stage, but more recently enjoys the audience perspective, leaving her love of singing for times of relaxation. With their son now a teenager, Viv and Peter have revived their involvement in Blenheim’s Top of the South Rock’nRoll Club, enjoying dances in both Blenheim and Nelson. Viv loves the costuming and finds the dance techniques quite interesting as these can vary from one Club to another. Viv hopes to participate in ballroom and Latin dancing again, but more on the social level, time permitting.
